What the dogs do when I'm not home

I wanted to get a nanny cam to see what the dogs do when I'm away. My daughter took this picture for me. She and my husband told me that they wait for me by the door. Darlin', our rescued stray, still has fear issues with my family so she waits in her bed in my room. She will greet me with the others when I open the door. This picture makes me heart happy.

  1. How nice to know how much you are missed:) We often open the back door to come in and find Phantom lying right there too.

    Happy Valentine's Day.

  2. Let's see - as I am walking toward the garage I can hear Scout howling like a werewolf with Freyja chiming in to provide the soprano. By the time I pull the car out, the chorus has stopped. I pull back into the drive after my errands and the sing-along begins again until I open the back door - and, all this in the winter when the windows and doors are closed. In the summer it's really LOUD!

I imagine that the rest of the time that I am out of the house they are napping or looking out windows waiting for me to come home for the song-fest.

  3. They look beautiful and happy. My mom moved a couch to the living room window and we wait there for her so we can see when she drives up the driveway.

  4. I am fairly sure The Herd throws a party every day. The one thing they do not do is wait by the door for my return.

  6. That doesn't really surprise me. They are like little children! They so love their mommy!

  7. I don't know about you, but setting up a webcam and watching the dogs from work has always been an adventure. Though I have yet to witness any poker hands being played. ;)
